Wrens Nest is uniquely designed to offer programs and services that inspire individuals to seek and improve wellness. Quarterly workshops are held in conjunction with Wrens Nest partners and tenants and special programs and events are offered throughout the year. The facility can also be rented to host special occasions and events.

Wrens Nest Center for Wellbeing is pleased to offer event rental to its list of services. Addiction Counseling

We welcome Catherine Schueman, CCS, CACII, CJAP as a new partner to Wrens Nest Center for Wellbeing. Catherine is an addictions professional with 17 year’s experience working with individuals who combat substance use. She draws from skills and knowledge of underlying core issues that often lead to substance abuse to facilitate a healing environment in both individual and group sessions. Catherine has worked with teens and adults and has experience using cognitive behavioral therapy for relapse prevention and uses a variety of approaches to steer patients on the path to recovery. Catherine has served in various roles in addiction treatment and prevention in the region and is a certified clinical supervisor and a national certified addiction counselor with experience in trauma counseling, criminal justice and treatment plan development. She sees patients at Wrens Nest by appointment and is also partnering with certified yoga therapist Cindy Michaels on Wednesday nights at 5:30 p.m. to offer a yoga-focused group experience specifically designed for people who struggle with addictions. In 2015, Cindy Michaels earned her Certified Yoga Therapist certificate from the International Association of Yoga Therapists. Prior to that, she completed an 800-hour Professional Yoga Therapy training program through Etowah Valley Yoga. In addition, she is a 500 hour experienced yoga teacher and a registered prenatal yoga teacher certified through Yoga Alliance. Cindy partners with Marcia Evans, Jaime Beckler and Kelsey Dotson to offer students a full schedule of weekly yoga classes. Visit our Yoga page.


Jenny Fraker new photoSpecial Event Planning

Jenny Fraker delivers Wrens Nest an organized and creative approach to event planning and a natural flare for customizing experiences that create lasting memories. She is a life-long resident of the Dalton area and uses the planning skills she honed at Shaw Industries as marketing event coordinator. While with Shaw, Jenny worked behinds the scenes in various locations to facilitate company events, handling detailed logistics and arranging product photo shoots and customer tours. Her professional experience combined with her personal passions for crafting and photography offer clients added value when planning events at Wrens Nest. Jenny offers a big picture perspective, while leaving no details unexplored. She values the importance of celebrating life’s events, big or small, and she has a natural talent for inspiring others to create memorable experiences. AgathaCommunity Gardening

Wrens Nest is proud to welcome Community Herbalist Agatha Noveille to its team! Agatha’s goal at Wrens Nest is to develop a community space for wellness and learning where people can connect with nature and herbalism through personal exploration and guided tours. She hosts garden exploration and herb workshops at Wrens Nest throughout the year. (See “Events.) Agatha is the author of the newly released Adaptogens: 75 Herbal Recipes and Elixirs to Improve Your Skin, Mood, Energy, Focus and More and The Independent Herbalist: A Beginner’s Guide to Herbal Preparedness. Jaya Ramamurthy offers workshops at Wrens Nest periodically that focus on the ancient science of Ayurveda. Her Ayurvedic roots began during her Indian childhood, growing up in her mother and grandmother’s kitchens. She completed her formal study of Ayurveda at the California College of Ayurveda (the only state-accredited Ayurvedic institution in the USA) in 2009. Jaya is a state-certified Clinical Ayurveda Specialist, with over 1,000 hours of Ayurvedic training. For more information about Jaya, visit



Integrative Medicine, Nutrition and Wellness Consultations

Blaine Minor, MD is an experienced physician practicing internal medicine. He has a passion for positively impacting his patients through a personalized, holistic and restorative approach that includes stress reduction, natural hormone balance, adrenal and GI restoration and in-depth wellness education. Throughout his career, Dr. Minor has counseled patients to adopt healthier diets and lifestyles. His focus and expertise is in the treatment of the whole patient through nutrition education, hormone balance and encouraging patients to instill wellness habits into their lives. Dr. Minor is a regular speaker at Wrens Nest.


Ellen Craig

Transcendental Meditation (TM)

Ellen Craig is a certified TM instructor who hosts periodic workshops and groups at Wrens Nest. The TM technique allows an active mind to easily settle inward, through quieter levels of thought, until participants experience the most silent and peaceful level of  their own awareness — pure consciousness. Ellen personally has experienced the benefits of TM and enjoys sharing her expertise with others. “Every time I teach someone how to meditate, I am in awe of the immediate results. It is such a simple, natural phenomenon that creates positive change almost instantly and continues to grow. Grief Counseling

Cathy Meyer, MDiv, AAPC, has worked in grief and loss as a bereavement coordinator with hospice for over 15 years.  She has provided hospice family members and the community at large with support and counseling as they face one of the most difficult journeys in life. She has facilitated support groups for adults and children; and has led a variety of workshops and educational events. Cathy is a certified counselor with the American Association of Pastoral Counselors and has been trained in Critical Incident Stress Management.  She is also an ordained Presbyterian minister with 35 years of experience providing pastoral care to congregations and their members. For an appointment, call Wrens Nest at (706) 529-NEST (6378).

Wrens Nest is also home to a Little Free Library of Distinction. The community is invited to stop by and share or check out a book found in the Wrens Nest Little Free Library located on the breezeway.
