Summer Sonic Massage with Faye Henry
Faye Henry of Touchstone Vibrations will offer a live sonic massage experience after evening yoga on Monday, June 13 and after the 9 a.m. yoga class on June 14. Participants will enjoy the captivating sound of seven gongs and experience how resonance and sound can help balance the energy systems of the body. Herb Workshop by Agatha – Sage
Most people know sage as a cooking spice, but this culinary herb has a secret past as a healing plant. Learn why sage might have a place in your first aid cabinet as well as your spice rack! Come enjoy a cup of sage tea and learn the history, lore, and modern research of sage at Wrens Nest. $8 at the door. RSVP by calling 404-583-7190.

DIY Summer Herb & Ayurveda Workshop, Demonstration & Tasting
An interactive experience with cooking demonstrations, hands-on container gardening and instruction for making herbal teas and syrups
Join Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist Jaya Ramamurthy and Community Herbalist and Author Agatha Noveille to learn do-it-yourself tips for growing, harvesting, using and cooking with summer herbs and spices. Returning presenter Jaya Ramamurthy will offer a fresh perspective on the ancient science of ayurveda, summer self care tips and cooking demonstrations for easy recipes and spice blends that complement the body’s needs in hot weather. Afterwards, participants can sample the recipes for themselves! Agatha will invite participants on a walking tour of Wrens Nest’s new community garden and will offer a hands-on experience in preparing herbal teas and syrups and creating container herb gardens with lemon balm, peppermint and bee balm. Workshop-goers will enjoy a cup of tea and come away with a take-home packet and a chance to win several door prizes. The cost for the workshop is $35. Free Adult Yoga Class at Dalton-Whitfield County Public Library
Yoga therapist Cindy Michaels will lead a free, one-hour yoga class at the Dalton-Whitfield County Public Library at 310 Cappes Street for all experience levels Tuesday, June 28 at 5:30 p.m. The class will focus on gentle, restorative poses to help elicit the body’s natural relaxation response. Cindy will also teach ways to reduce stress, sharpen mental focus and sleep better through yoga. Yoga mats and blankets are recommend. (Mats will be provided if you don’t have one.)
