Healthy Nutrition in a Fast Food World Workshop Set for April 28

Wrens Nest Center for Wellbeing will host Healthy Nutrition in a Fast Food World, a nutritious and delicious meal-planning and healthy eating workshop, Saturday, April 28 from 9-11 a.m.

Registered dietitian Hannah Jackowski will explore easy ways to incorporate creative nutrition into everyday life, while highlighting up-to-date nutrition facts and solutions for restrictive diets, picky eaters and busy families on-the-go. During the two-hour, interactive workshop, attendees will have a chance to learn about daily calorie and protein needs, portion control and how to plan and create meals that satisfy the body’s nutritional needs and taste buds. A cooking demo and tasting will feature nutritious Instant Pot recipes, alongside traditionally prepared meals that offer healthy alternatives to our “drive-thru” culture. $35 – Register online through Mind/Body. Early registration is encouraged.

About our speaker: Hannah currently serves as a clinical dietitian manager for Florida Hospital. With an enthusiasm for helping individuals and families embrace ways to improve nutritional habits to live healthier, she brings a full plate of experience in teaching others about healthy eating back to her hometown of Dalton, Georgia for this event. Hannah holds a bachelor’s of science degree in dietetics from Florida State University.
