“Yoga For Athletes,” presented by 200-hour registered yoga teacher Jaime Beckler, will introduce beginner level yoga poses and relaxation techniques that athletes can incorporate in their current running or training schedule. The class will also highlight specific poses to address tightness in certain areas. It’s tailored for runners, but individuals in pursuit of gaining flexibility for other sports will also benefit. Yoga brings flexibility, balance and whole body strength to every body, while also improving mental endurance through breath awareness. Jaime regularly teaches the 5:30 p.m. Adult Yoga class on Tuesdays and Thursdays for Yoga by Cindy at Wrens Nest. She has an extensive background in occupational therapy and a passion for yoga.
