FREE “MOMMY & ME YOGA” TO BE OFFERED BY YOGA BY CINDY AT WRENS NEST CENTER FOR WELLBEING MAY 7

Event celebrates Mother’s Day and Second Anniversary of Wrens Nest with Yoga and Fun

Dalton area mothers are invited to bring their children to attend a free “Mommy & Me Yoga” session offered by Yoga by Cindy at Wrens Nest Center for Wellbeing located at 2001 Shields Lane on Saturday, May 7 at 9:30 a.m. The event celebrates the upcoming Mother’s Day holiday and the second anniversary of the opening of Wrens Nest, a facility that offers yoga, massage therapy, integrative medicine, psychotherapy, meditation, educational workshops and other wellness opportunities. Yoga therapist and owner of Yoga by Cindy and Wrens Nest Center for Wellbeing Cindy Michaels will co-lead the session, along with Jaime Beckler, occupational therapist and yoga instructor who leads classes regularly for Yoga by Cindy.
The 45-minute yoga session is free of charge, however, registration is required. Weather permitting, groups will be led in an introductory yoga experience outside on the platform and breezeway areas of Wrens Nest. Email wrensnestcenter@gmail.com to officially register prior to May 5.
Mommy & Me Yoga participants are encouraged to bring yoga mats and water bottles. (A limited number of mats will be available to those who do not have them.) All experience levels are welcome. Following the class, participants are invited to enjoy a social time with snacks and self-guided tours of the gardens, labyrinth and nature trail. Special Events Consultant Jenny Fraker will offer face painting for the kids.
Yoga is a proven practice that aids health issues faced by adults and children alike, including stress, energy level and anxiety. It is also helpful in increasing concentration and focus while expanding imagination and creativity. This is the second in a series of free yoga workshops offered by Yoga by Cindy this spring and summer.
